Ghana Photographers Awards Festival Officially Launched Slated For 2022

 Ghana Photographers Awards Festival 2022 official launch 




Showbiz Africa Network(SAN),has launched the maiden edition of Ghana Photographers Awards Festival.

The launch which came off with a press statement highlighted the mission and vision of the awards scheme.

Ghana Photographers Awards is an annual awards scheme that seeks to celebrate and reward excellence in the photography space across the country.

This initiative will be recognizing and celebrating photographers, brands, models and individuals who have contributed immensely to the photography space and also put up excellent works that have either educated or told stories to raise the level of photography in Ghana.



The awards is scheduled to happen with three days festival and climax with the main event presenting

18 awards.

Nominations for the award will open in the month of September 2020, through their social media platform and email ahead of the main event scheduled for April 2022.

The filing of nominations will end  in the month of November 2020, after which the Board takes over to sift them for the final nomination lists.


The nominees’ list for the Ghana Photographers Awards Festival is expected to be released in December 2020.

Winners in various categories for this year’s awards will be determined by 60% public and 40% Academy votes.


According to the organizers, they are  entreating all photographers whose works fall with the calendar year from *1st January to 31st August* to submit his/her works (photographs) via gmail ghanaphotographersawards@gmail.com.

They also used the platform to remind the general public to follow the prevent the spread of the virus.
